Smart control of light, heating, music, TV - what becomes part of everyday life at home can now also be done in a hotel. The SmartHotel app makes the hotel room intelligent and user-centric.
The app aims to allow guests to customize their stay and experience at the hotel. During the next hotel stay, even in another city, one could be welcomed directly with the customary scenes.
A new standard for the industry
It's not so much about opening and closing room doors via the app - using the smartphone as a room key is already offered in several hotels. But the digital key is only one feature of the SmartHotel app.
Every registered guest using the SmartHotel app can use his or her smartphone to check in his room, control the lighting in the room, the temperature of the air conditioning, the position of the window blinds and his or her favourite program on the SmartTV or radio. Furthermore, the guest can book wellness treatments, reserve a table for dinner or communicate with a reception employee.
The functions in detail
The app is divided into four sections: communicating with employees, checking room devices, reservation of table for dinner and booking of wellness treatments. Regardless of whether there are employees at the reception or not.
Synchronizing the guests profile
As an add-on, the guest's preferences can be synchronized, i.e. his or her preferred lighting, air conditioning and TV controls are already set when the guest checks in at the hotel next time. This sets a new standard for the industry by offering guests a travel experience where the room knows them, and they know their room.
